In most cases, you'll need an installation diskette or CD-ROM with the correct license key already installed on it. If you have one, then installing the software is fairly simple. If not, then you'll need to use a remote access program in order to make it work properly. Using the remote access program will require you to have at least one computer system with a valid license key installed on it. This computer will be used to connect remotely with the new computer system where you'll be installing the software. In most cases, this is done by using a dial-up modem connection in order to connect remotely over the telephone lines. This method is useful if you don't have an installation CD-ROM or diskette that came with your software package. Some websites will actually send a copy of the program in question in a file attachment via email so that you can install it without any problems at all. Once you've got the software installed, you'll need to take the next step. This is where many people fail to follow through because they too were turned off by having to pay for their software in the first place. Now that they've got it installed on their computer system, all they want to do is open it up and start using it. After all, wasn't that the reason why you purchased the product in the first place? But this couldn't be further from the truth! You see, if you don't take care of your investment by registering your license key there's a good chance you'll never use it again.
